Lend Lease, as a member of the Exemplar Health Consortium, are working with Queensland Health in delivering the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH). This public tertiary teaching hospital will open with 450 beds in 2016, growing to 738 beds by 2021 and is being delivered using a Public Private Partnership (PPP) delivery model.
The Sunshine Coast University Hospital will be developed as part of a 20 hectare integrated health campus on a green-field site at Kawana.
During construction, on site trades, labour and supervision is expected to peak between 1800-2000 workers in the second half of 2015.
During this 20-week contract period, 315 tonnes of scaffold material was supplied complimented by a labour team made up of 4 men.
