100 tons of scaffolding suspended 20m in the air, at 100m in length is a masterpiece in any engineer’s eyes.
Not only was height a challenge, but the scaffolding had to be erected from an elevated working platform with the use of scissor lifts. Uni-span overcame these challenges by erecting and suspending a 4.8m wide access platform. This allowed multiple trades a platform for installations. With the use of prefabricated aluminium beams craned into position, manual handling was minimised which ensured the safe erection of the scaffold. Uni-span’s safety standards were highly regarded by the client, whose quote below sums up their safety experience.
Uni-span were able to achieve and improve on program times and schedules. With a 6 man crew and the 3 x approved elevated working platforms, the flawless and engineer designed suspended steel structure was created using an 18m high, 3 ton loading bay, erected externally for the loading of equipment.

Paul and the troops have carried out their works in an extremely safe manner and with a safety attitude to match, any minor issues that have arisen have been dealt with immediately, our client has also commented on the work ethic and professional workmanship.
Scaffolding is always a concern and with the previous issues we had on site with others, the spotlight was on your company and I can say Uni-span passed with flying colours.
